چکیده

Abstract In this essay, the progressive collapse resistance of reinforced concrete wall-frame structures was evaluated with and without considering soil–structure interaction. The vulnerability frames against investigated middle column removal scenario from first story, based on sensitivity index. To evaluate effects interaction, along soil (hard soil) foundation were simultaneously modeled in FLAC software compared Seismostruct software. results showed that index decreased by interaction structures. Afterward, a parametric study (foundation thickness) substructures (soil types, densities, saturation conditions layers) performed. an increase thickness foundation, increased, therefore, condition structure would be more critical collapse. It found high groundwater levels subsoil can reduce its bearing capacity lead to damage structure. addition, it determined changing substructure type 4 (Clay-MC) 1 (Rock), use layer (SM) 2 (SM-CL/ML (Very hard clay)-SM), soils density, is better prevent

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Numerical Study of Progressive Collapse in Intermediate Moment Resisting Reinforced Concrete Frame Due to Column Removal

Progressive collapse is a chain reaction of failures propagating throughout a portion of the structure disproportionate to the original local failure occurring when a sudden loss of a critical load‐bearing element initiates a structural element failure, eventually resulting in partial or full collapse of the structure. Both General Services Administration (GSA) and United States Department of D...
